Alec Balwin’s performance goes down as one of the most memorable acting performances in a “sales” role in film.  Glengarry Glen Ross was originally a Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play in 1984, adapted to the screen in 1992.

Baldwin’s memorable character wasn’t in the play, but they wrote it the part for him.  The unforgettable ensemble cast all took pretty big paycuts to work on a small budget film.  Robert DeNiro, Bruce Willis, and Richard Gere all wanted in on the project too.
